A job where you cannot be seen dating

Teachers, nurses, doctors, and anyone who would rather a parent, a patient, or a colleague never saw the profile.
A lanyard lying face down beside a coffee, with the badge turned over.

Leave the job off the profile. A school, a ward, a surgery, a uniform, a name badge, and the name of the employer are how a parent, a patient, or a colleague recognises you before you have decided they may. "I work in a job where I would rather not be recognised, and I live in Sheffield" is enough. The title can wait until you trust someone.

Use a photo you are willing to be known from, and crop the workplace out of it. A picture in uniform, in front of the building, or with a lanyard still on is the one to leave in the camera roll. One ordinary face, in ordinary light, is the useful photo. Photos that get a reply covers the rest of what to crop.

Your profile is for members who are signed in. Searching the web for your name does not open it. Other members see the username, the age, the town, and the photos you choose. They do not see a surname or a workplace unless you type those in. Who can see your profile is the exact list.

Meet away from work. The café across from the school, or the canteen, is the wrong first place. Pick somewhere you do not already go with colleagues, tell a friend where you are going, and leave on your own. Meeting safely is that order.

If someone you message works in the same place, or you recognise them, you can stop. You do not have to explain. If you recognise someone is the rule: their privacy is yours to keep, and yours is theirs. Only Dating is free. There is no fee, and no reason to put a charge you would rather not explain on a card.
